Track 2018 preview

Like every year, the route of the Baja Aragón is a secret for both crews and fans until the start of the race, when the co-drivers receive the roadbook during the administrative checks.

But, to facilitate the preparation of for the participants and the large audience that comes to encourage them, we can advance some details and developments.

The route of Baja Aragón 2018, the 35th edition of the legendary event, will have a Superspecial on Friday, two specials on Saturday and one more on Sunday.

As in the past five years, the HQ of the entire event will be the city of Teruel and its Exhibition and Congress Palace, where the race offices, paddock, assistance park and park fermé will be located.
Continuing with the novelty that premiered last year, in this edition the main stages will be different and, in addition to including new zones and routes, the sections that are covered on Saturday will not be repeated on Sunday. All sectors will have the start and finish in Teruel.

The prologue, which will take place on Friday, will be in a location near the city of Teruel, to facilitate the movement of teams and fans; and it will take its start from the Teruel Conference Center at 16:00 for the motorcycles (that will start in descending order of start numbers) and at 17:30 for the cars and trucks. The length of this Superspecial will be approximately 13 kilometres.

On Saturday and Sunday, all vehicles will compete in specials entirely in the province of Teruel, on carefully selected tracks within the regions of Jiloca, Community of Teruel and Cuencas Mineras. The total distance will be 827 kilometres, more than 500 km of which will be against the clock.

In total, 30 municipalities of the province of Teruel will receive the visit of the Baja Aragón and will be able to show the local and foreign crews the wealth of the territory of this province of the Community of Aragon.

The event, which is celebrating its 35th edition promises to be exciting and spectacular again this year, characteristics that have made it and one of the most prestigious and the longest-running European cross-country rally event, attracting the best drivers of cross-country rally from all over the world year after year.
