ALL SET FOR THE START OF BAJA ESPANA ARAGON

The 37th Baja Espana Aragon – Trofeo Avatel has started today with the administrative checks and the scrutineering for the 218 vehicles on the entry lists. The Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos hosted the last formalities to obtain the permission to start in the race that will take place on Friday and Saturday.

Thursday was also the day when the strict anti-Covid protocols were applied, with restricted access to the service park and checks for all persons who are not accredited. Unlike in previous years, the briefing of drivers and teams was carried out online, and the roadbooks and itineraries for both race days were also distributed.

First stage on Friday

The first stage will start on Friday for the cars with the Banon – Cuevas Labradas special stage, starting at 8:30 with 180 km against the clock, while the bikes and quads will race a 5.26 km prologue in Teruel in the morning, scheduled for 9.55h, followed by the Banon – Cuevas Labradas special stage at 14.15h.

For Saturday, two more special stages will complete the more than 500 kilometres of the rally.
