Javi Vicente and Lucas Cruz have been two of the people who have worked to shape the route of the current edition of the Baja España Aragón Trofeo AVATEL. “In my opinion the Baja España is a world reference and if you combine the temperatures and the type of terrain, I think this is one of the best races of the World Cup,” Vicente says.
“This is a fairly technical route with a lot of traps on the sides because there are a lot of rocks hiding in the vegetation,” Lucas Cruz, Dakar winner with Carlos Sainz, explains.
This edition of the Baja España Aragón visits three regions, those of Teruel, Jiloca and Albarracín, where, according to Cruz, “you will find a great diversity of terrains, from sinuous tracks to dirt areas, so any driver who likes to drive and slide with the car will enjoy this race. Of course, there are quarry stone areas where you have to be very careful with the tyres to minimise degradation and avoid punctures,” he adds.
