THE COUNTDOWN TO THE BAJA SPAIN ARAGÓN, UNDER WAY

The 40th edition of the Baja España Aragón will take place from 26th to 28th July in Teruel and will once again be the only Spanish event that will count towards the FIA World Cup. The Aragonese event will also count towards the FIM World Cup for motorbikes and is included in the calendar of the Spanish Off-Road Rally Championship. Registration is now open for teams interested in taking part.

The International Automobile Federation has once again included the Baja España Aragón as one of the eight events of the season. It will be the third race of a competition that includes the Baja Saudi Arabia (10 February), Baja Greece (25 May), Baja Poland (25 August), Baja Portoalegre 500 (19 October), Baja Qatar International (2 November), Baja Dubai International (17 November), Baja Jordan (30 November).

For its part, the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has included the Baja Spain as the third round of the World Cup after the Baja Saudi Arabia and the Baja Dehesa Extremadura, two races that have already been held at the start of the season. As for the Spanish Off-Road Rally Championship calendar, the Baja España will be the fourth event of the season after the Rally Jaén Mar de Olivos, the Baja Dehesa Extremadura and the Baja Lorca-Ciudad del Sol.

As was the case for the 2023 edition, the organisers have opted to maintain three days of competition, with Friday dedicated to the prologue for cars and motorbikes. Both categories will take part in the same special stage, which will serve as an aperitif for the subsequent two days of competition on Saturday and Sunday. In addition, the Trail category will be present for the third year, in response to the growing demand in recent years for this type of motorbike in rally-raid competitions.
